In a shocking incident in Korba, Chhattisgarh, a man allegedly attacked his wife and daughter with a knife after a domestic dispute escalated. The incident occurred when the accused, reportedly intoxicated, returned home and demanded intimate relations with his wife.
When she refused, he reportedly became violent, attacking both her and their daughter with a knife. Both victims sustained serious injuries and were immediately taken to the medical college for treatment. Following the attack, the suspect also set parts of the house on fire, destroying personal belongings before fleeing the scene.
According to initial police investigations, the accused has a history of alcohol abuse and domestic violence, which led his wife and children to live separately. However, the husband confronted them at their residence, leading to the tragic altercation.
Korba’s Additional Superintendent of Police confirmed that the incident is being thoroughly investigated, and efforts are underway to locate the suspect, who is currently on the run. Charges have been filed against him under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges for grievous assault and attempted murder.
